Assignent #2 - 0-99 Pics!

This first real assignment made me start messing with the camera settings.  Since we are shooting in black and white, I started to think more about texture and shape more.  Getting the light right is definitely going to take some time to get used to.  I seem to have trouble getting the picture sharp, so I assume I need to use a tripod, or a flash!  OR we need to adjust the other setting we discussed in class.  Either way, practice practice practice.  I got the family involved in trying to figure out how to get the 0-99 captured, which was a fun family experience.

4 - Fork
5 - Kaleb
20 - Toes
29 - Headstone
50 - Hand and BBall
88 - Shoes

Bracketing Practice

Well...mostly I was figuring out the buttons on my camera in order to actually change the shutter speed and aperture.  I got my white pic, and it seemed to take a descent pic for white.  Here it is:

Cliche Pictures Assignment

Per class discussion, we have been instructed to find 3 pictures that are cliche when taking photography.  So...here they are my three pics...

Couple walking on rail tracks

Single tree on a hill

Sunset...though some you find are awesome!

Assignment #1 - Scavenger Hunt

First assignment was to take a variety pics to get used to the camera.  I normally and not allowed to use the camera...so I was a little nervous.  I have always used the auto mode, and we were supposed to use the program mode...SCARY!  I do not know how to manipulate the settings to get a desired affect...thank goodness for auto mode.  This pic was going for depth of field.  Michael, don't be a hater of the auto lovers!!!  Alas, my move to camera tweeking is upon us.
